WHAT MAKES OUR FORMULA SPECIAL?
Loïki didn’t begin in a factory. It began in a home kitchen.
Like many parents with young children, our founder became acutely aware of the chemicals we are exposed to every day - including many of the products we use in the kitchen. He too ditched the plastic scrapers, tubs and PFAS, instead replacing everything with glass, steel and wooden alternatives.
But wooden utensils require care to keep them looking their best and to prevent material degradation. After becoming just a little obsessed with trying to find the purest formula for a culinary wood preservative, he ultimately gave up.
Instead, he embarked on his own journey to source the highest quality organic and vegan ingredients, in order to make the wood butter he hadn't been able to find. He named the company after his son, Loïc - a constant reminder of why dedication and quality matters . It is that same recipe that we continue to use today.
So, whilst his son has now grown up, the legacy lives on. From the rural apiaries of Wales, through to the lavender fiends of Provence, we source top-quality ingredients in order to create products as beautiful as the kitchen utensils they protect.
